Hey all! I’m so happy to have you here! My name is Sarah and as of 9/8/2020, I’m a senior in high school and living in a smallish town called Parker in colorful Colorado!

GOD IS SO GOOD! WOW! He’s worked in such amazing ways these past few years and I’m forever changed. Through amazing godly friends and leaders, I’ve really grown in finding my identity in Jesus. Just the love alone that he’s shown me is incredible. He’s working in my hometown every day which is amazing to experience, but my favorite thing is to see how he works in so many places around the world!!! If you know me IRL, you know that I’ve been to Haiti and Guatemala on mission trips and wow, that is a life-changing experience! I’m so excited to see where God wants me and if it’s the world race, even better!!

So to get to know me a bit better…

Here’s a list of things that love, like a lot

1. MUSIC!

Whether that’s listening to it in my bedroom from my record player or absolutely demolishing my car’s speakers (sorry dad) listening to anything from “Steal My Girl” by One Direction (which is an absolute banger, but everything that 1D has put out also fits into that category) to “All Too Well” by Taylor Swift, I’m here for it! some of my favorite artists are Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, The Band Camino, LANY, Vance Joy, Pheobe Bridgers, NEEDTOBREATHE and so many more. send me your favorite song and ill treasure it forever.

I also love to play music as well. I feel like I’ve been singing forever but not publically until about two years ago. For my 14th birthday, I got my first guitar and I honestly didn’t love it, but after taking a class at my school and hearing some very encouraging words from a worship leader in Haiti, I loved it and haven’t put it down since. Since then I’ve learned the ukulele and I’m hoping to start working on the piano very soon! Music has become something I’m extremely passionate about and is a huge part of my life

Another amazing gift that God gives us is the ability to worship him through music. WOW! What a treasure! This past summer, my worship team started to do outdoor worship nights and they’ve changed everything. I loved worship before, but now I see it in a whole new light. I get to watch the hand-painted sunset and worship the creator of it at the same time with people who loved worship as I did. It’s such an incredible way to connect with Jesus and I KNOW he’s there sitting in our small circle, as I play my guitar and my friends and I sing, he’s there listening to the music too.

2. A small coffee shop in my hometown called Fika…

Oh Fika, how I love you to the moon and back. Their coffee is just immaculate and I can’t go at least 3 days without one so it will be missed dearly when I’m on WRGY. Fika sits on Mainstreet in our little town which is laced with string lights year-round and reminds me Stars Hollow or something straight out of a trashy, small-town, coming of age movie. There is something so home-y and familiar that Mainstreet has.  While the coffee is just spectacular, the atmosphere is unmatched. Some of my favorite memories happened in this little coffee shop. I’ve had quick catch-ups with friends, bible studies, deep conversations, and talks that end in a sort of scream-laughing combo.  Fika and its coffee will be missed very much, but what I will miss most is the memories made there with the people I love most.

3. Colorado, the good ol’ 303

There’s something incredibly romantic and beautiful about being able to leave the bustle of the town and drive 30 minutes and be in the mountains. I love leaving to go to the middle of the woods, set up my hammock, and embrace the wonderful world around me. and I’ve gotten to live in God’s incredible creation for 8 years and I’ve loved getting to explore this wonderful state. I’ve begun to really romanticize my life; to see every outing as an adventure and an opportunity to experience something new. If you’re not living life like a coming of age movie, I’d highly suggest it.

But I haven’t always lived in CO, I originally lived in Dallas, Tx for the first 10 years of my life, so Texas has a huge piece of my heart too. My parents are actually moving back to Dallas this summer, so I’ll be returning to my home state. I will be busting out my southern twang and cowboy hat very soon.

4. Otters

wow they are incredible, love those guys!

5. Chickfila- aka, the lord’s food

I love you, CFA! I know I won’t get to experience one of life’s great pleasures that is a spicy chicken sandwich w/ extra pickles for 9 months, so you KNOW I will be making up for it in the next year.

Anyway, that’s pretty much it! I’m really excited to see what the future holds!
